Tone Up!

The overall goal of my weight loss journey this year is, of course, to lose weight! (I’m aiming for dropping 30 pounds). But, what I’m also seeking is to tone up.

I’m getting married this year and I want to look great in my dress! Now, even if I don’t lose the 30 pounds, if I can at least get these areas toned up, I’ll be happy.

Plus, I think it’s important to work on toning. At the end of the day, the number on the scale doesn’t matter. It’s all in how you feel and if you’re pleased with the person looking back at you in the mirror.

These are the 3 areas I’m looking to tone up before October 27th!

Upper Arms

You know that under section of your arms? The one that flats basically no matter who you are?

This GIF describes it best:

Anyway, mine are just so big and flabby and I hate it! I’d really love to work on toning those muscles so they look stronger. Now, I know this is one of the hardest spots to tone up and I’m definitely not expecting zero flab! I just want it to look much smaller and harder.

Do you know what FUPA means? I honestly hate this word but I literally don’t know how else to describe it. You can look up the meaning, but basically imagine it this way: draw an imaginary line on the front of your stomach so that it lines up with the center of your belly button. The space below that line is your FUPA.

Since giving birth, it seems that all of my fat now has chosen to go right here to this spot. Juuust great. I hate the way it looks. And, this is yet another tough to tone spot. But, I’m working on it!

The good part about this is that it will be easier to cover up in my wedding gown. I’m looking for a ball gown style so this spot will be plenty hidden!

Jiggly thighs. The bane of my existence. I’m short which makes all the fat that settles here just look even worse.

I just want to get this more toned looking and much stronger. I remember being pregnant and feeling just so much weight pressing on my thighs. Now, I’m not getting pregnant again anytime soon, but I do want to establish a solid foundation.

I realize I said the word “tone” probably way too many times. But that’s really just what I’m going for!

Share what tips you have for working out these areas for me! I’ll take all the help I can get!
